The Southern Party Of Arizona Report

Hello from the great State of Arizona,

I have many things that I must report to you, and some of thing you may not believe. But first things first.

I would like to commend Mr.. Mark Andrew Burns, for his unending and tireless work for the party. He has shown us all, that just because one lives in heart of Yankee land, one can't show Southern Bulldog Determination when promoting Dixie. Further, with he has shown true western grit in his approaching the tribes in both his area, and New Mexico.

It is with great pride, I recommend him for the highest award that the party can give to any of its members. Also I hereby appoint him, to the positions of SPSW liaison to the western tribes and chief archivist for the SPSW. (*The SPSW, Southern Parties of the Southwest, is a coalition of State Southern Parties and Southern Party members in that section of the country, formed and headed by Mr. Goodson.)

Now, on to other things. As you will recall in the last report, I spoke of the Forest fires in Arizona. Well the Federal Government has reneged on part of its promise to help Arizona fix the damage. Instead of the $20 million Arizona was to get, Arizona will get a total of $10 million.

Arizona has a new Governor, Janet Napolitano. At first, I thought she might be just the kind of Governor Arizona might need. However, That turned out to be wrong assumption. In her first day in office, she violated the State Constitution by making into law by executive mandate the Senior Citizen's prescription plan. The Arizona Constitution clearly forbids the Governor from making law; that duty falls solely on the shoulders of the Legislature.

Now Gov. Napolitano intends to break one of her promises that she made not only during the campaign, but also in the State of the State Address. She is now cutting the education budget by half, which will leave many rural schools out in the cold. Further she is going to raise taxes, by how much? Only God knows.

Another thing I wish to report to you is, the State Sovereignty Act.  I am happy to able to announce it has passed it's first hurdle. The bill has passed the first committee. It now has to pass two other committees in the House, and of course in the Senate. Then it will go before the Governor for her signature, I hope she sign it.

If you want to help, you can e-mail the different Arizona Legislators, telling them that you support such an idea. If you want to do this, let me know and I will send you their e-mail address.

Also I want announce, that my talks with the several tribes here in Arizona is going slow but sure. The idea of bringing Geronimo home is going real slow due some in house fighting in the Apache tribes. I will keep you informed of the progress of that one.

Also it seems, that the U.S. Government has reneged on another of its promises. The Federal Government promised the tribe in 1973 they could declare sovereignty by the year 2002. It has informed them, they couldn't do it. So we might be getting the tribes on our side, I will keep you informed on that as well.

I am getting the Party's website going, I am going to use a telephone company to do it. They will make it look more professional, and I can handle that. I will keep you informed also.

That's it for now,

In the cause of Southern Independence,

Charles Goodson
Chairman Southern Party of the Southwest:

I salute the Confederate Flag with affection, reverence, and undying devotion to the cause for which it stands.
