Southern Party 1999 - 2002 Calendar of Events

30 June 2002 - Quarterly Reports due.

September 2001 - SP Convention in Vicksburg, MS.

3 January 2000 - Quarterly Progress and Status Reports due from SP provisional committee chairmen and State Chairmen.

7 January 2000 - The Southern Party will convene convention in Columbia, SC, to write by-laws and constitution. The meeting will be attended by provisional and elected chairmen and by the SNC.

8 January 2000 - The Southern Party will participate in the "Southern Heritage Celebration 2000" - a huge rally of thousands of pro-Confederate flag supporters to be held at the South Carolina State Capitol building in support of keeping the Confederate battle flag on top of the SC Capitol.

This event has been sanctioned and endorsed by the national headquarters of the Sons of Confederate Veterans on behalf of their 24,000 members. The event is also being supported by the League of the South and there are indications that the United Daughters of the Confederacy may endorse it as well.

The chairman of the event is Mr. Chris Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan is the Past Commander of the South Carolina Sons of Confederate Veterans and he is the Editor of Southern Partisan magazine.

The Southern Party urges all pro-flag Southerners to support this event. Contact your state Southern Party chairman for details on car, van and bus pools being organized to bring in supporters for the rally.

4 March, 2000 - Southern Party of Texas held caucus at the Hotel Faust.

22 April, 2000 - Southern Party of West Virginia held meeting at the General Jenkins Plantation in Cabell County West Virginia.

13 May, 2000 - Southern Party of Virginia held meeting in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

27 May, 2000 - Southern Party of Georgia - Union County will hold meeting on Rt.129 N just north of Blairsville, Georgia.

3 June, 2000 - Southern Party of Georgia - Spalding County will hold meeting in Griffin, Georgia.

4 June, 2000 - Southern Party of Florida to hold meeting at the Comfort Inn Fort Myers, Florida.

6 June, 2000 - Southern Party of Georgia - Fannin County will hold meeting at the Blue Ridge Mountain Restaurant.

17 June, 2000 - Southern Party of North Carolina to hold meeting in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

26 June, 2000 - Southern Party of Georgia - Franklin County will hold meeting in Lavonia, Georgia

Summer of 2000 - Southern Party National Convention to be held on June 30 - July 1, 2000 in Charleston, South Carolina.
