Oklahoma Understands! |

History
is definitely not written by the losers of a conflict.
To the victor goes the spoils and the ability to rewrite history. In the case of the "Civil War", it was not a civil
war at all. A "Civil War"
is when two different ideologies fight for control of a central government like
the situation in Spain in the
1930's. This was a war with
geographical boundaries, separate constitutions, different presidents, opposing
armies and, two separate flags. This
was a war of Southern Independence. Even
though the South inflicted more on the enemy then it received, this ill
equipped, always outnumbered and often barefoot band of Southern Patriots
succumbed to the yankee invaders. The
South and the Confederate Government never surrendered; only an army was
surrendered. Even
so, the South was occupied by an invader from the north and vilified everywhere
from Hollywood to history books. Books that are written and printed in the north
by yankees. It is time
for all Southerner to stand tall and be proud of who he is, his homeland, his
heritage, and his rightful place in true
history. Groups like the NAACP are
always calling our flag a flag of slavery.
If they would do a little research they would discover that the slavers
came from New England and the United States.
Also, are you ready for this, the first person to make money on the slave trade was fellow Africans. We
of the Southern Party don't want to enslave anyone, we want to free them.
It is liberal organizations that enslave its' own people by trying to
convince them that they cannot stand on their own two feet and be successful
without them. What do we say to
that? Hogwash! Standing
at the Capital of Oklahoma is an empty flag pole that was placed there to fly
the flag our forefathers fought under. A
flag that represents a cause they felt was righteous.
We cannot let their memory fade into oblivion, we need to fly it, fly it
high and keep it flying. The
Southerner is an independent person who does not believe in big government
telling him what he can and cannot do. He
is a person of action, a rugged individual who can skin a buck, overhaul an
engine, plant a garden, shoot the eye out of a rabbit at 300 yards, catch a 50
pound catfish with his bare hands or build a cabin.
A Southerner developed one of the most popular styles of music in the
world. We
are tired of our heroes being vilified. Robert
E. Lee did not own slaves as Ulysses
S. Grant did. Can you imagine the
picture of a slave owner on the 50 dollar bill.
Other hero's like Stonewall Jackson was a deeply religious man while his
counterpart William T. Sherman should have been tried as a war criminal. It was the north that raided the south and its' solders
raped, pillaged, murdered, and plundered. The
great Emancipator himself (Lincoln) only freed slaves in Confederate occupied
areas, hoping to start a rebellion amongst slaves even though those in northern
occupied areas remained slaves. Here
at the Southern Party we stand up for the South and we ask all proud Southerners
to join us in this struggle. We are
a land of moral, God fearing gentlemen and ladies that know what is best for us
and our children. We do not need
the federal government telling us how to live, how to spend our money (if we
have any to spend after taxes) and how to educate our children. Our children are our only hope for the future. Your
vote can make a difference. Stand up for Dixie and Vote Southern Party. Richard Frazier
